Amazon Studios has picked up the American rights to animated show Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter. Anime series co-produced by Studio Ghibli, directed by Goro Miyazaki and animated by studio Polygoncomes.
Based on the Astrid Lindgren book of the same name, Ronja is directed by Hayao Miyazaki’s son, Goro Miyazaki. It’s the story of arobber’s daughter who becomes friend with a rival’s son, linking the two opposing ideologies. First time 26 episode animated series debuted in Japan in 2014 and now its finally coming to the U.S on January 27 via the Amazon streaming service.
